It's snowing! We aren't used to real live snow, we are used to ice here in Texas. Having lived in Chicago, Salt Lake city and New Jersey, Harry and myself are used to snow. I don't like ice, though, when we have to drive. So far we have had like 5" of snow but it will be turning to ice because of all the slush on the roads. Of course, that means Harry has to work TONIGHT! Of course! :)
The flakes have been huge.
I loved seeing the snow pack on the bushes and trees. Not a common sight here!
Isn't it beautiful?
Lovely.
But no one, NO ONE loves snow as much as our Abby. We adopted her in Utah and she is a snow lover. She is a snow baby. Snow to her equals fun!
When we decided to move here to Texas we actually felt bad taking her away from snow.
She loves to bury her nose in the snow, blow out huge breaths of air through her nose and have the snow scatter around her. To her, this is heaven. And then she gets excited and starts running....running like you wouldn't even believe....
Because of her breeding, she runs like a jack rabbit or grey hound. Which is super fast. She was bred to run fast and hunt for long hours. She is a bundle of energy. So when she takes off, she takes off like a bullet.
She runs, turns, runs, jumps, runs, turns, jumps....
"Mom, come play!!!"
Then she lays down and rolls around in it. Snow lover.
What a happy girl!!!
On the other hand, our other dog, Rocky, who is a Pomeranian has no patience for this wet stuff and would rather lay down on the couch in the warmth of our home than have anything to do with this snow.
