Happy Birthday, DAD!!!

Surprise, Dad!!!

Yummmm....CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!

Happy Birthday, Dad!! My dad's birthday was Friday night and the family surprised him at his work with cake and balloons. He was really surprised and happy. His favorite thing is chocolate so Amanda bought him a super, duper chocolate cake. He has to work a really late shift at work so he was all by himself when we came and surprised him. We all caravaned to his work and enjoyed singing happy birthday to him.

5 Things I Love about My Dad
1. He took on three kids that were not his and has loved us and cherished us as much as he has his own. Most people don't even know that he is my stepfather. He also became sealed to us in the Dallas, Texas Temple thereby becoming our eternal father.
2. He is a hardworker. Some of my most admirable memories of my dad is when we lived two-five miles away from a store without a car and my dad would WALK to the store and back with bags of groceries for our family. He has supported my family and mother diligently and constantly.
3. His love of all things Science fiction. I am not a trekkie or lover of Science fiction, but my dad can probably lay claim to reading almost all science fiction books and watching it all. His love of Star Trek knows no bounds.
4. He is the most generous person I know. One of us kids can call him last minute and say, "Dad, I need...(you to babysit, a ride, some advice, to help move something...whatever) and he will do it. He gives and gives and his charity and generousity to us are so appreciated.
5. He makes me laugh. He has a great sense of humor. Even when he isn't trying to be funny he makes me laugh. Watching him sleep during church makes me chuckle because it is so funny the way he bows his head, as if praying, and sleeps.
