Anyways, while we were playing Julia became upset because she HAD to find Barbie's shoe. It was of the utmost importance. I am talking serious stuff now. So she became a hurricane. Literally:
It looked as if their had been a barbie vs. inferior dolls war. There were casualties EVERYWHERE. Where is a medic when you need one?
Then, she found it. Yes, a clear slipper. How hard is that to find on an off-white carpet?!? Nearly impossible. Never mind that their are 40 gazillion pairs of other shoes Barbie could have worn. No, she had to have THOSE shoes. All so this could happen:
The wedding of Barbie and Ken. Little girls have been reenacting that for generations and Julia is no different. She loves everything about weddings, especially the "twist kiss". What is that you ask. A twist kiss is when you turn or tilt your head for the kiss. A serious kiss. A grown up kiss. One that Julia has been told only mommy's and daddy's and married people kiss like. So she always marries her dolls so THEY can twist kiss.
Bryce was just happy he didn't have to play the groom in her wedding. Now, please know, Julia and Bryce DO NOT twist kiss when Julia makes him the groom. She kisses him on his cheek or his hand, but no twist kisses allowed. Hopefully Julia won't be twist kissing until she is well into her 20's - 30's. Isn't that what we all wish for the kids we love?
